Yes! Thanks to our sponsors, DFW Hacks is free for all participants. Your ticket includes meals, swag, workshops, and mentor support.
A laptop, charger, student ID, and anything you like to code or tinker with. We'll provide Wi-Fi, power, meals, and a beginner-friendly setup.
Nope! You can work alone, find a team or bring a team of up to 4. We'll help everyone find a group.
Anything that solves a real problem or showcases creativity—web or mobile apps, games, data/AI projects, or hardware hacks. You'll have access to mentors, workshops, and example starter kits to get going.
Absolutely. We'll run hands-on workshops, office hours, and guided starter tracks so first-timers can ship a project by demo time.
Yes—meals, snacks, and drinks throughout the event. We accommodate dietary restrictions; just tell us during registration.
Yes, as long as you follow our rules and disclose any AI assistance in your README . (See our Code of Conduct for details.)
By a panel of mentors and industry guests using criteria like impact, creativity, technical implementation, and presentation. Judges' decisions are final.
Yes—you own what you build. By demoing, you grant us permission to showcase your project for judging and event highlights.
